Whole chainring is narrow. There's supposed to be individual wider teeth and then thinner teeth, to match the chain, and this one is just stamped metal with chamfered teeth that are all the same width.Solid product. I bought it to replace the 26t chainring on the 2008 Trek Hybrid with Shimano 3x crank. Now I have roughly same climbing power as a modern day 1x12 speed MTB. The product feels nice in hand. Quality material, quality paint job and smooth to touch.This chainring is listed as a narrow wide chainring. It is not . I uploaded photos so you can see for yourself.I gave it 2 stars instead of only 1 since it is made of steel and the finish is the matte black as shown.Machining (tooth profile) was tied for the worst I've ever seen. It was essentially unusable. Possible it would engage chain, but I wasn't willing to install it. It should be noted mine was likely from a bad batch. It's hard to imagine they're all like that, or the other reviewers would have balked too.In two places (header and detail) the BCD shows 104mm. This is impossible. One of the images shows the correct dimension (I think it's 64mm) which fits the tapped holes on the inside of the crank spider, not the through holes at the end of the spider.As noted by another reviewer, this is not narrow/wide. I don't think there's such a thing as a 22T steel narrow/wide chainring. But I didn't know that when I bought it, so naturally I expected to get what I ordered. (In case you're wondering why the heck anybody would want a 22T n/w chainring, I was planning to add it without front derailleur, for a manual shift on those rare occasions when I need a super-low gear.)
