I needed a larger chainring in order to keep up pedaling with the motor at high speeds on my Rad Power Bike RadWagon 4. This worked perfectly! It did require me to add 3 links to my chain. Originally, I found a website that estimated I would need to add 6 links (which I originally did), but then my chain was too long and hitting the bash guard so I dropped it down to 3 links and that was perfect. The result is that now the combination of the motor and pedaling has a 3mph top speed increase, and when I use lower pedal assist levels, the speed increase for each of those is a least 2mph more than it used to be on the stock chainring. All this being said, I live in relatively flat Florida, so I don't have any significant hills here. Increasing the chainring size would have an affect on difficulty pedaling up hills, so just consider that if you're thinking about doing this mod, but your live in a more hilly location.Definitely a close 3rd place in my top 3 mods to this bike:1. Replace the lousey stock bicycle tires with motorcycle tires,2. Replace the poorly designed mechanical calipers with hydraulic calipers, and3. This chainring upgrade.
