I like these lights a lot, even though the main light is not as good at it's main function as it should be. First, the bad- As far as the main/front light goes, I just don't see a light as bright as it should be for this lumen rating. I'm sure that lumen ratings are incredibly subjective, but this just isn't as bright as I feel it should be- at 10 ft in front of my bike or 30 ft in front of my bike no matter how I position it. It's usable, but I want much more light. It's also larger than a handlebar light should really be, and is not particularly lightweight.Now the good news- the main light is solidly built, and the flashing mode is brighter than the 'high' mode, and is outstanding for being noticed by pedestrians and traffic day or night. The high and low modes do, indeed, have a lower, more horizontal throw pattern instead of a round circle of light which is better for biking. You can use it as a usb power bank to charge your phone while using Google maps and you don't have to worry about recharging it for many rides with a 5000mAh+ capacity. The rear 'throw in' light is actually excellent, with a long life and very bright flashing patterns. Both mounts are very good, and don't shift around on bumpy rides. We'll see about longevity, but the lights seem well-built...The first light worked so well, I bought a second one for a total of 2400 lumens. Excellent quality and the USB port is very helpful on long rides. I usually plug my phone in to keep in charged. The battery within the second one I ordered died right away, so I exchanged and haven’t had any issues with the replacement. The first one is still going strong. Would definitely recommend!I really really wanted to like this light, it is insanely bright, doubles as a power bank, and is aluminum. I was using it for a flashlight until it gets a bit warmer to use on my bike and tried to run it down and it ran for the better part of the day. A few days after getting it it wouldn't turn on and on the back there are 4 screws. I thought I'd check the battery pack and get some new cells, I liked it so much I was willing to fix it. The problem is the cells are soldered together, which in itself isn't a problem, I was willing to get my soldering iron out, but they connect to the logic board with a connector way in front of the falshlight. I pulled the batteries out, they came with no resistance, so I think they became disconnected by themselves. The wire is too short to get tweezers to re-connect them, it was built from the other side and the front has the lights glued in so there is no way for me to connect the batteries again to test it. I'm not sure why it was built this way, if it is this easy to open why not make it serviceable? All it would need was a longer wire to connect. I was thinking of making the wire long but eh, I don't want to risk it breaking down the road. It is going back and I found a light that uses half the cells but the cell be swapped like a flashlight.Light is bright enough but doesn't seem to be 1200 lumens. OK with that. Light is heavy and seems study but on/off switch on top came off very easily rendering the water resistance useless. However, I did glue it back in place with gorilla glue. I'll see how that works after the first rain shower. Overall, if the glue works for the switch on top, I'll be very happy with this light.So, this review is based on my receiving the product, charging it to full, and just testing it out (not yet on a ride with it). It is super bright... just as bright as another 1200 Lm light I had before, except this one is much more low profile and smaller, which is great. Also, it's cool that you can also use it as a back up battery, as it has a USB slot to plug in to charge your cell phone, etc. So that's pretty cool too. Must of the time I need to use high setting during the night, but is enough very good construction and the battery life is awesome..One of the things that I like is the overcharge protection... Great product overall!I was really nervous to buy a bike light online. This light was exactly what I was looking for! It is insanely bright! I ride my bike home from work through an unlit trail with a very wide sidewalk, at least 10 feet wide. This amazing light illuminates the entire sidewalk and then at least 2 feet after it ends. I can see pretty far ahead of myself. Plus it's made out of metal.
