These are just regular wet weather trousers, nothing special for cycling. Water resistance is very good, only downside is that all my farts when cycling get trapped until I take off the trousersThese are the best waterproof trousers I've been able to find for cycling and general walking use, at a budget price (20-odd quid). They're big enough to use as over-trousers, but are also mesh-lined and have a drawcord, so can be used on their own or with shorts too. Breathability is a LOT better than comparatively-expensive-but-cheaper-than-GoreTex brands using multi-layer PU membranes. The legs and ankles are well-designed in that there is a velcro-sealed opening which goes quite high up, so you can take them on/off with shoes on, and a separate tab to cinch in the bottom so they don't snag on the bike chain. The length might be a slight downside for some, however. It's perfect when standing, but they do ride up when riding, so if you want dry feet and hems these over-trousers won't deliver by themselves. This is the second or third pair I've bought. I actually use them for walking on cold windy cliffs here in Scotland's Northern Isles. They have a mesh lining so are warm as well as waterproof. I have got wet in them when in really heavy downpours in high winds but for the money these are very good and I will buy them again.Too large but the cost of returning and exchanging is prohibitive. I decided not to bother.Look the part but since their sizing is off and they are large throughout I won't be trying them out to see if they do what they say on the tin. These do come up a size larger, the reviews say that which helps when ordering.
