So far have tested it out with 4 mountain bikes at the same time - and... no issues! Super convenient. The rack is not too light, and not too heavy. Setup was easy. You want your back tire to slide in the slot (not the front one). I keep this rack outside and use it whenever my friends visit. For the price and benefit the rack has provided to me so far, I am very content with my purchase. Shipping was fast. I would recommend this product and wanted to share my positive experience as I found it really difficult understanding what kind of bike racks were out there. Reviews seem to be all over the map.I really wanted this to work for us. It was really easy to put together and solidly built. Other than really needing a washer on both ends of the bolt everythong was fine construction wise.I ended up having to return though because it didn't fit my kids bikes well. This is likely better for adult bikes. For kids bikes the tires just aren't secure so the bikes are really tippy due to the front and bottom of the wheels/tires not fitting well. It would have been nice for an extra inch or two between to keep handle bars separate.I live in a community apartment complex of over 40 people. We have an unattended pass protected underground garage. I have 2 e-bikes. I was wanting a bike rack that could be bolted to the ground that is strong enough and durable enough to hold a few bikes in a secure and sturdy manner. I feel comfortable with using high quality locks that this purchase surpasses all my needs. It is also super easy to put together!This will not hold 5 mountain bikes; 3 max. Spacing is too close together, especially to the ends. Poorly designed without testing. 3” wider on each end would make a big difference.Missing parts.Not compliant with APBP Bicycle Parking Guidelines, including the most basic requirement of supporting a bicycle at two points. Likely to cause damage to bicycles.Bought this for our apartment building and it was one of the better purchases we’ve made!
